First Term Newsletter 2018/2019 session (Secondary School)

Vacation and Appreciation: I write on behalf of the management of Adelayo Academy to inform our highly esteemed parents that the First Term of 2018/2019 session ended today being 13th December, 2018. We would like to thank our parents for your implicit support and cooperation with the management of the school in view of your prompt payment of school fees and the investment of your times in ensuring that your children got to school punctually each day. Your investment and efforts, by the Grace of God, shall definitely yield the expected and the desired results.
Resumption and School Fees: In line with the government directive, the school will resume for the Second Term of 2018/2019 session on the 7th January, 2018. We implore our parents to make fifty percent upfront payment before the stipulated date for resumption. These timely gestures will enable the second term to take off smoothly and run effectively. We politely solicit your cooperation in this regard.
Inter-House Sports: The second edition of the school’s Inter-House Sports is scheduled to come up next year and on the 30th January, 2018 to be precise. Each student is billed five thousand naira for the sports wears. We encourage our parents to cooperate with the school to ensure the success of this great sports event.
PTA Meeting and Open Day: The school’s PTA meeting and Open Day will come up on the 16th January, 2018. The PTA meeting will commence at 2:00pm prompt. As a result, parents are politely encouraged to come earlier for the Open Day to assess the academic work of your children and equally make suggestions where necessary.
Hostel Requirements and Resumption for Boarders: Boarders are expected to resume with the stipulated hostel requirements. Also, boarders are to resume with tangible evidence of payment of at least fifty percent of the actual payment. Defaulters of the above mentioned conditions will not be allowed to resume. Boarders are to resume on the 6th January, 2018.
Textbooks/Dictionary/Drawing board: It has come to the notice of the school management that a considerable number of our students are yet to be provided with the recommended textbooks, dictionary, drawing board and other necessary learning materials. We appeal to parents to make passionate efforts to purchase these learning materials for your children so as to facilitate speedy learning and teaching processes in the school and equally at home.
Intramural Classes: We hereby express our dismay in view of the payment for the extra classes organized for the JSS 3, SSS 2 and SSS 3 students. These classes are essential in order to adequately prepare our students for their various external examinations. While each of the JSS 3 student is to pay #6,000, every SSS 2 and SSS 3 student is expected to pay #8, 000. We politely crave the cooperation of our parents in this regard.
New School Cardigans and New School Uniforms: New cardigans and uniforms are available in the school for purchase. Parents are expected to buy these new cardigans and uniforms to replace the old ones.
Holiday Assignment: We solicit our parents’ cooperation in terms of close monitoring of your children at this festive period so that they can do their holiday assignments as well as study adequately at home. Defaulters of these assignments will not be condoned after resumption.
Christmas and New Year Celebrations: The management of Adelayo Academy wishes our kind-hearted parents a hitch free merry Christmas celebration and happy New Year in advance. God in His Mercy shall grant you His Marvellous Grace to enjoy resounding health to celebrate many more Christmas and New Year Days.
